The clones and non-Mac lists

Apple2list covers the entire Apple II series as well as the Apple II card for the LC PDS. The list has 102 members and averages 3-4 messages/1 digest per day.

LisaList has 48 members and very light traffic.

NewtonList has 108 members and hardly any traffic.

SuperMacs was our first clone list, begun when I bought a close-out Umax SuperMac two years ago. The list has 499 members and averages 28 messages/2 digests per day.

PowerComputing has 222 members and averages 7 messages/1 digest per day.

StarMax was begun when starmax.net closed shop. Covering the Motorola StarMax clones and other clones built using their motherboards, StarMax has 186 members and averages 9 messages/1 digest per day.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.
