A couple of things to remember with the troubleshooting, based on experiences with trying to change my own Lisa back to the original form:
By the sound of it, I'd say Lisa B sounds the most promising. I'd disassemble it and check all the contacts on all the boards, including the LisaLite board for the floppy drive. My guess is that the mouse problem may have to do with the damaged traces. I'd certainly start by checking it with all it's original boards though. I'm afraid I can't make any suggestions on the best way of repairing the traces. If you're unable to get anywhere with it, do a Google search for a gentleman by the name of Sellam Ismail. He's quite familiar with restoring the old Apple machines and is the man behind the Vintage Comuter Festival's each year. At one of them he even auctioned off an Apple I I believe.
