floppy lubrication and print head bar lubrication

I have tried WD-40 with mixed results and most of them were bad. I use the left over mobile 1 from my empty oil bottles that I use in all of my vehicles. I feel that Mobile 1 provides better lubrication. In fact I use Mobile 1 oil to lubricate the bars that the print heads ride on in dot matrix printers at work. I have been doing this for years and have had excellent results.

BTW: I forgot to mention the book from Larry Pina: Macintosh Repair and upgrade secrets, ISBN 0-672-48452-8, Hayden Books 1990. There you can find many useful informations concerning the periodical lubrication method and much more (about the Lisa too). The lubrication is done with WD 40- please use only WD40, all other products can have negative side effects.
