Re: Lisa + Profile and SCSI cable?

Is there any way to get at the bearings of the drive? My profile is easily the loudest drive I've ever heard, save the 2 gb Barracuda I threw on the floor repeatedly and then powered up (it dances across the floor now! Don't worry, it had many bad sectors before I 'stressed' it.) I took the brush totally off for testing, it didn't get any quieter, so my guess is it has to be the bearings. Have you ever oiled a frozen computer fan to bring it back to life, then listened as the little bits of dirt hit the bearings, and it makes a little ting sound? My drive does that all on its own :o
