James-

Thanks for a complete account
of my options for getting drivers
or whatever onto my Lisa equipped
with the X/ProFile.

I wonder if my 1MB of RAM is a
problem with the Zip drive? One
option I am considering is use a
a 2MB RAM card with my Lisa.

I'll be able to make more progress
after I do a functional test of
my SCSI card - which may take a
while since it involves formating
a mac drive and getting a 400k boot
floppy.

The following sounds like an appealing
way to get files to the Lisa
that does not require floppies
or a SCSI device:

However, since all of my old Macs
are gone and I am running a newer
Mac with OS10.4.11, it looks like
additional hardware such as a
LocalTalk to Ethernet adaptor
would be needed.

Once I make sure
the SCSI card is working I'll be
able to report on
how/if I get the zip drive and
CD-ROM drive to work with the
MacWorks Plus CF card that
came with the X/ProFile.

Thanks again for your work
to clarify the issues involved.
