Use the floppy drive to:

• boot into MacWorks XL 3.0 then
• boot the Macintosh System then, IIRC
• the Finder will automatically offer to initialize the portion of the HD that was reserved for MacWorks.
• After initializing, put the Macintosh System folder on it.

This won't create a fully transparent "dual boot" system: to run MacWorks XL, you still will need to load MacWorks XL 3.0 from the floppy disk. Once MW is loaded, the Macintosh System will be loaded from the hard disk.
